Gal-la An-ki Art was born from the mind of Inanna and Utu Nin with the aim of breaking taboos in art, to help redefine society’s relation to sex and sexuality, return sex to its rightful place at the heart of human relations and empower women as well as men by allowing all of us to reclaim our sexuality.

Sex, sexuality and sexual relations are fundamentally human and form the most personal, intimate and natural parts of our being, yet our sexual lives have been relegated and limited to the realm of procreation, with all its life-affirming aspects rendered taboo by a paranoid misogynistic patriarchy threatened by the individual power sex embodies, and hell-bent on controlling our sexual lives.

Sex is at the center of all Gal-la An-ki artworks - in all its beauty and glory - laying bare its potential to empower us and strengthen our relations and humanity, when all taboos are removed.

Artworks

Gal-la An-ki artworks are mixed media creations based on photographs that are digitally reworked into digital paintings that can be printed in various sizes and on a variety of supports.

For the Gal-la An-ki Art project Inanna and Utu initially used their own photographic material for the artworks, but the aim has always been to expand the project to include those who would like to reclaim their own sexuality, publicly or anonymously, by featuring in Gal-la An-ki artworks.

In this sense, the Gal-la An-ki project is a continuous collaborative exploration of art and sexuality, giving everyone the possibility of partaking in the project and thereby building an interactive, growing, and evolving community around a growing collection of artworks.

Send us an erotic picture in which you feature (make sure to have the permission of anybody else who may be in the picture before commissioning an art piece) that you would like to see transformed into a one-of-a-kind artwork. You can send us your picture(s) by email.

  • Inanna and Utu will then create one or various digital paintings based on your photo(s), at no cost.

  • We will then send you the finished works and you will have the opportunity to decide whether you would like to:

    • cancel your commission and ensure the commissioned artwork is deleted
